Risk analysis of unloading of LNG at the Terminal – Improving terminal layout minimises risk, as does improving the gas detection system. Risk Support is able to advise on how to implement risk-reducing measures during the unloading of LNG at the terminal (See also LNG transportation). Our work in this sphere complements our analysis of LNG transportation. LNG release is modelled as a heavy gas dispersion and pool evaporation on land or the sea (See also Consequence modelling). The individual risk contours are shown in the figure. Risk analysis facilitated the improved layout of the terminal and the specification of the functional requirements for gas detection system, and other risk reducing measures.
